What are the power requirements for a Qolsys IQ Panel 4?

Measuring panel voltage is a common troubleshooting step with a panel. Most often, this step is required when there is a Modem-Panel Comm message, or the panel is not communicating properly with Alarm.com. If the voltage is low, a modem-panel communication trouble may occur. 

Voltage cannot be measured for a Qolsys IQ Panel 4 using a voltmeter. Verify the power supply has the required voltage.

Caution: Use only the following transformer power supplies for connecting the Qolsys IQ Panel 4. Anything else may result in the panel being damaged and would void the warranty of the panel.

7vDC DC Transformer

If using the provided cable, the striped wire connects to the +. 

If using a custom length wire, use 18AWG (0.75mm2) wire no longer than 98.5ft (30m) to ensure sufficient power is received at the panel. The minimum permissible wire size shall not be smaller than 22 AWG (0.33mm2). 

The power supply output shall not exceed 15VA (15W) under any conditions. 

Is the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 compatible with secondary keypads?

Yes. The Qolsys IQ Panel 4 is compatible with the IQ Remote Secondary Tablets.
