2GIG eSeries GC2e Control Panel

What are the dialer delay settings for the 2GIG GC2e?

Dialer delay settings

  • Default dialer delay is 30 seconds.
  • Minimum is 15 seconds.
  • Maximum is 45 seconds

What UL Standards can the 2GIG GC2e meet?

Panel manufacturers have their panels tested by Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) in order to meet certain industry standards. Manufacturers have tested their panels to meet the following UL standards when using an Alarm.com module, so long as the appropriate adjustments for UL Standard conformity are set.

Note: Two-Way Voice is not supported when a panel is in UL/ETL mode.

ETL Tested

  • UL 985 - Household Fire-Warning System Units.
  • UL 1023 - Standards for Household Burglar-Alarm System Units.
  • UL 1635 - These requirements cover digital alarm communicator system units for use in the following:

To meet UL standards using an Alarm.com module:

  1. Consult the panel manual for information about configuring the panel to meet UL/ETL specifications.
  2. On the customer account's Monitoring Settings page using the Partner Portal or MobileTech app, click to select This is a UL/ETL Installation. Then click Save.

What is a loop in 2GIG sensor programming?

A loop in 2GIG programming is a setting that sets the open/close or idle/activated behavior of a 2GIG sensor.

How many hardwired zones can the 2GIG GC2e support?

The 2GIG GC2e supports two hardwired zones.

What are the power requirements for a 2GIG GC2e?

Panel power requirements: 14 VDC

Note: An AC power loss is issued any time it drops below 11VDC.

Where to measure panel voltage: + and - terminals on the main panel board

Alarm.com module power requirements: 12-14 VDC

Note: The module's voltage for a 2GIG GC2e cannot be measured using a voltmeter. Verify the power to the panel is the required voltage.

Can 2GIG GC2e firmware be upgraded locally?

2GIG offers a way of updating the panel firmware directly through computer software and an update cable that is sold by 2GIG and their distributors. This method is much faster than doing the OTA upgrade, but it requires an on-site technician and a computer with an update cable.

For more information about local firmware upgrades, contact 2GIG support.

Can an RF repeater be used to extend communication to 2GIG GC2e sensors?

Yes. To use sensors that are far away from the panel, install a sensor extender. Resolution products provide a 2GIG-compatible repeater, the RE220T. For more information, refer to the panel manufacturer.

What is eSeries on the 2GIG GC2e panel?

The 2GIG GC2e and GC3e panels support eSeries sensors, which is 2GIG's line of enhanced sensors.

Supported eSeries sensors

Even more sensors are supported with eSeries. The following are some examples:

  • eSeries Window/contact
  • eSeries Flood
  • eSeries Repeater
  • eSeries Glass Break
  • eSeries PIR with pet immunity

What is the maximum number of Image Sensors on a 2GIG GC2e?

The 2GIG GC2e with the XCVR5e transceiver supports up to 3 Image Sensors.
